Metolius River Wedding
Second-shot for James Moro Photography at a private residence on the Metolius River, near Bend, Oregon.
This was one of the most fun weddings I’ve ever been to - and I wasn’t even a guest! I’m beginning to think it’s more fun to photograph a wedding than attend one, anyway. I’m serious. The reason I say this is because you get to witness and be a part of the entire day. You’re there while the bride and groom are getting ready, feeling their nerves and excitement. You’re there when they see each other for their “first look”, their first kiss as a couple (I’m finally comfortable enough to get just as close to them as they are to each other to get the shot), first dance… you get the drift.
As fun as it is, it’s a ton of work and physically exhausting. That’s why I’m glad to be second-shooting, assisting amazingly talented photographers with capturing a day. Maybe one day I’ll photograph an entire wedding by myself but for now, I’m content being second in charge :)
